Getting started begins with an initial consultation to discuss your child’s learning profile, current challenges, strengths, and goals. From there, recommendations can be made regarding NILD Educational Therapy, assessment, or educational consulting services.

NILD Educational Therapy: $775 per month

This includes initial and ongoing assessments and 8 80-minute sessions per month

NILD Educational Therapy® may benefit students who struggle with reading, writing, spelling, math, attention, processing, memory, or confidence in school. Many students experience frustration, difficulty expressing their thoughts, or challenges working independently in the classroom.

NILD techniques can be adapted for children, teens, and adults with a wide range of learning profiles and are designed to help students become more confident, independent learners over time.

Research shows that thinking and learning skills can improve through intensive, targeted intervention. NILD Educational Therapy® focuses on strengthening the underlying cognitive and language processes needed for independent learning.

Through guided questioning and individualized techniques, students learn to think critically, problem solve, reflect on their thinking, and become more confident, independent learners over time. Rather than simply compensating for difficulties, NILD aims to build stronger learning processes that support long-term academic success.

Lucent Learning & Cognition Centre is located in Midtown Toronto, in the Yonge & Lawrence neighbourhood. We are conveniently situated close to TTC transit and are easily accessible from Lawrence Park, Bedford Park, North York, Leaside, and surrounding communities.
