With over 25 years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping them build confidence both academically and personally.

I began my career in elementary education before transitioning to the high school level as both a classroom teacher and later a guidance counsellor. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with students who learn differently, including those with ADHD, learning disabilities, executive functioning challenges, and school-related anxiety.

My journey into educational therapy became deeply personal when I began searching for additional support for my own son, who has ADHD and a learning disability. After seeing firsthand the remarkable impact educational therapy had on his confidence, learning, and overall growth, I became passionate about bringing the same kind of support to other students and families.

Through Lucent Learning & Cognition Centre, I combine my educational background with specialized training in NILD Educational Therapy to provide individualized support that focuses not only on academic achievement, but also on strengthening the underlying cognitive skills needed for lifelong learning.

I believe that with the right support, strategy, and encouragement, students can experience meaningful growth, develop confidence in their abilities, and rediscover a love of learning.
